Peer advice

Here is a couple of advice that my past students have for future students:

  1. Don’t just study right before the test!
  2. Don’t procrastinate! It does not help!!
  3. Future students can start going over the study guide very early and have that be the main source of study.
  4. Study in small sections every day & build it up to the day before the test.
  5. Study more with friends (study group).
  6. Don’t just memorize. Understand!
  7. Do worksheets ahead of time, so you can ask questions, apply info & not just memorize.
  8. Look over the quiz online, study every day, create stories.
  9. Don’t skip over any ‘minor’ details because everything is important.
  10. Read every detail in lecture notes and book. Front to back!
  11. When doing practice questions or supplemental worksheets, don’t use notes or textbooks as it will give a false sense of what you know and understand.
  12. Invest in a whiteboard and dry erase markers to draw out and better understand the material.
  13. Drawing more visuals for pathways & processes. Answer Q at the end of the chapter.
  14. Take a break in between study sessions to retain information.
  15. Ask the teacher for help!!
  16. Study really hard. The tests are kinda difficult so ask a lot of questions!
  17. Don’t stress out too much on the day of the test.
  18. Make a really good note!
  19. Any science course needs extra energy and enthusiasm for better results!!
  20. Begin from the start to critically think and get in that mode. Learn it, then use a different scenario.
  21. I recommend only taking one class at a time. This course requires a lot of time to study. It’s a difficult subject so it’s best to only concentrate on one subject if possible. Study! Study! Study!
